Ant Law

London-based guitarist and composer Ant Law returns to NQ Jazz with his celebrated quintet, featuring Mike Chillingworth on saxophone, Ivo Neame on piano, Tom Farmer on bass, and Asaf Sirkis on drums.

A proponent of the ‘Perfect 4ths’ guitar tuning, Law is a virtuosic player whose tone and dexterity can be heard on Tim Garland’s GRAMMY award-nominated album ONE, as well as his own studio albums — the latest of which was released to critical acclaim on Edition Records in July 2020.

His wide-ranging musical tastes have seen him explore the rhythms of Indian classical music alongside drummer/konnakol vocalist Asaf Sirkis and bassist Matt Ridley in the Art of Rhythm Trio, and work with highly-regarded classical percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie in the HLK trio.
