Aidan O’Rourke + Kit Downes

Fiddler, composer, Lau member, and BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winner Aidan O’Rourke began his duo with keys player, composer, and BBC Jazz Award winner Kit Downes in 2016. The pair have worked together on O’Rourke’s enormous 365 project, which initially saw O’Rourke creating a composition every day for a year in response to short stories from the pen of James Robertson. They perform together frequently, creating music with a richly folk and classical tone.
